Family Photo!!!! Here we are on December 27,2008 right before we head of to my sister's house. It is always so hard to get a good picture but I think we finally did it!!! Funny, I never think of myself as small until I stand between "my two men".

Merry Christmas everyone! It is Christmas morning and I'm the only one up. The downside of having children is that they grow up and Christmas morning is quiet. I miss the hustle and the bustle but I love having "my boys" home. I am in charge of lunch today for us and my Mom and Mother-in-law. Hopefully, we will survive. Okay, enough for now, time to get lunch started and the guys up for PRESENTS!

Christmas Eve

I can't believe it Christmas Eve already, where has this year gone? The house is so quiet, Jay is gone to a friend's house and Bill is sleeping late. I'm still getting up early everyday, sleeping late is not for me. This will be a quiet and calm Christmas for us. It will just the 3 of us and the 2 grandmothers. After the Thanksgiving disaster, we need peace. I've told myself that I will never try and get that many people in the house again, but I'm sure I will. I just wanted Bill to have all of his children in the house at the same time. It is so rare for him to see all three together. I tried to take one huge family picture but of course that got all messed up. It is posted with my other pictures. I have told myself that I will get pictures this Christmas of Jay and his grandmothers. Like most women their ages they don't want their pictures taken. I will probably get in trouble with them, but what else is new.

I finally finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. I swear I will never be this late again. I really cut back on everyone's gifts this year. With the economy the way it is I wanted to be careful.

Today is cleaning and cooking day. Hopefully, everything will get done quickly and smoothly. Merry Christmas everyone!

2 days until Christmas!
All my shopping and wrapping is finally done! Today begins the big "bake-off". I get to pretend I know how to cook like Martha Stewart! My food might taste good, but it is usually not very pretty and fancy.

No School

No school today! How good that feels!!! I love teaching but WOW, this year's class is a lot to handle, the break will do me some good. I have to get out and pick up some last gifts then I can be completely finished with Christmas shopping. I never make New Year's resolutions, but this year I am. In the year 2009 I WILL start my shopping in June! It's cold here in Alabama today. The high is only going to be 38 or so. Of course by Wednesday, we will be back in the 50's again. The rest of the my week will be quiet I hope. Just the 3 of us and the animals banging around the house. That's the way I like it.
